Job Title : Electrical Estimator

Company : Golka Electric, Inc. (golkaelectric.com)

Location : Phoenix, AZ

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm MST

Compensation : TBD

Position Summary :

Golka Electric, Inc., a specialized electrical contractor in the Valley Metro area is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a vital role in analyzing construction drawings and specifications, estimating small jobs and service calls, and assisting with large contract bids. Our ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience in electrical parts and tools.

Responsibilities :

  • Estimate small jobs and service calls, including site visits, ensuring accurate scopes of work and material needs
  • Collaborate with purchasing and field employees to communicate job requirements and necessary materials
  • Document and price change order items on contract jobs
  • Assist with large contract bids, including analyzing and estimating costs
  • Check drawing revisions for added or changed scopes of work
  • Obtain and analyze vendor quotes for electrical materials
  • Perform daily checks of field records for potential additional work
  • Maintain an updated electrical materials pricing database
  • Provide support for other related duties as assigned

Qualifications :

  • Proven ability to pay close attention to details
  • Understanding of electrical technical vocabulary
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
  • Working knowledge of electrical parts, tools, and materials
  • Familiarity with acquiring and using product cut sheets
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interface with field employees
  • Experience in pricing / selling electrical items or electrical service projects
  • Ability to use software programs such as McCormick and various pricing programs
