Building Engineer

The Building Engineer will be responsible for completing work orders and troubleshooting / repair tasks throughout the AMD campus in South Austin. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and willing to assist in various areas such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities :

• Perform general interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems.
• Execute special tasks including painting, locksmith work, and handling tenant service requests.
• Maintain and repair lighting system bulbs and ballasts.
• Assist the operations team in building and equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Conduct minor plumbing repairs.
• Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
• Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the safety of work areas.

Work Environment :

The work is conducted on the AMD campus in South Austin, which features very nice and well-maintained buildings. Candidates will have exposure to high-tech equipment and systems. The shift is Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour shift between 6 am and 6 pm, and Saturday work as needed.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
