Certified Medical Coder I

A company is looking for a Medical Coder I (Critical Care). Key Responsibilities Verify and sequence ICD-10 and / or CPT / HCPCS codes from patient medical records for submission Review and submit encounters related to evaluation & management and procedures while maintaining quality standards Navigate electronic medical records and collaborate with the Accounts Receivable Team on insurance follow-ups Required Qualifications, Training, and Education 1 year of relevant coding experience Active AHIMA or AAPC credential Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and ICD-10 and CPT / HCPCS code sets Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and data management Understanding of insurance denials and CMS guidelines related to coding
