Job Overview :The Agricultural Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales and building relationships with potential dealers to enroll them in our dealer program. This role requires extensive knowledge of planters and Claas combines, the parts that make them up, and how these parts contribute to agricultural operations. The position will also involve taking phone sales, answering customer inquiries, and assisting with parts recommendations for planters and Claas combines.

- Key Responsibilities :
- Dealer Development :
- Travel to visit and establish relationships with potential dealers, pitching our dealer program and converting leads into long-term business relationships.
- Sales & Customer Service :
- Answer inbound phone calls, assist customers in identifying the right parts for their planters, and process sales orders.
- Product Knowledge :
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of planters, their components, and related equipment, providing expert advice to customers on the parts they need.
- Product Presentation :
- Present our product offerings (used and new parts, as well as equipment) to potential dealers and customers, effectively highlighting their benefits and value.
- Customer Support :
- Offer ongoing support to existing dealers and customers, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns or questions regarding products or services.
- Market Intelligence :
- Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor offerings to provide valuable insights to both customers and the company.
- Sales Targets :
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets, including the number of new dealers signed up and sales revenue goals.
- Documentation & Reporting :
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and dealer sign-ups. Submit regular reports to management regarding sales performance.
- Qualifications :
- Experience :
- Minimum of 2-3 years in sales, preferably in the agricultural or equipment sector.
- Industry Knowledge :
- Strong understanding of planters and the parts that make up planters (e.g., seed meters, row units, closing systems, etc.).
- Communication Skills :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and persuasively.
- Customer Focus :
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Travel Flexibility :
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to meet with dealers and customers in various locations.
- Sales Skills :
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and close deals.
- Technical Aptitude :
- Comfort with using software systems for order entry, customer management, and reporting.
- Driver’s License :
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, as travel is required.
- Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working in agricultural sales, specifically in parts and equipment for planters and Claas combines.
- Knowledge of dealership management and dealer program structures.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales tracking.
- Physical Requirements :
- Ability to travel regularly, including overnight stays if required.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds as needed.
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $47,520.13 - $57,228.55 per year
