Base pay range

95,000.00 / yr - $125,000.00 / yr

Employee Relations Manager

Salary : $95,000-$125,000 annually

Location : Hybrid in Bay Area

Blackstone Consulting, Inc is seeking an Employee Relations Manager for their Healthcare Security Client in California.

Job Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Managing and leading employee relations activities in collaboration with senior leadership to develop strategies enhancing employee relations and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Providing guidance, training, and support to leaders and others on employee relations-related topics.
  • Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and training to promote positive employee relations.
  • Conducting investigations into employee complaints, disciplinary matters, and responding to employment-related claims, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Advising management on necessary compliance actions to ensure adherence to employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Developing, monitoring, and reporting on employee relations metrics and trends to formulate proactive improvement strategies.
  • Staying updated on changes in employment legislation and industry best practices.
  • Managing complaints and concerns through the company hotline, serving as the primary contact for the Security Division line and ensuring timely closure and resolution.

Investigations- Risk Mitigation

  • Uses surveys, interviews, and other studies to conduct research regarding human resource policies, compensation, and other employment issues. After analyzing the information, makes recommendations on changes.
  • Researches and explains laws and legal affairs concerning employment to managers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Advises and trains managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances. Develops further training as needed.
  • Represents organization in contract negotiations, meetings, and negotiations with employee and labor organizations.
  • Collaborates with leadership on matters of policy and terms of memoranda of understanding before and throughout negotiation process.
  • Collaborates with legal counsel and departments in the preparation for and participation in negotiation with employee and labor groups.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Employee Engagement

  • Develop, update, and enforce compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with legal and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure processes are effectively communicated and understood across all levels of the organization.
  • Standardize compliance frameworks across all contracts to ensure consistency in governance.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify gaps and recommend policy enhancements.
  • Compliance Audits & Reporting

  • Lead internal and external audits to assess adherence to contractual and regulatory obligations.
  • Develop audit protocols, document findings, and implement corrective action plans.
  • Prepare compliance reports for executive leadership, clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Track and report on key compliance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Design and deliver compliance training programs for security personnel, managers, and leadership.
  • Ensure training includes regulatory updates, ethical considerations, and best practices in compliance.
  • Establish a compliance culture by promoting awareness initiatives across the Security Division.
  • Implement corrective actions and lessons learned to prevent future violations.
  • Minimum Qualifications at Entry :

  • Be 18 years of age and possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Human Resources, or equivalent experience.
  • The legal right to work in the United States.
  • Possess a valid government-issued driver’s license or state-issued I.D.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successfully pass the client’s pre-employment screening process (Drug Test, Criminal).
