Summary

The Stations Support Specialist Lead oversees day to day operation of Stations Support Specialists I and II. As team lead, they are responsible for the overview of airport networking infrastructure for projects assigned to them. This position is important for the growth of new and existing airports to implement and the network support for the Airline operations. This position will assist in the training and guidance of designing the network for implementation, installation of the equipment and provide support for the technical infrastructure as well as ensure that all team member’s projects are completed to standards and KPI’s.

Minimum Requirements

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.

Education : High School Diploma / GED

Years of Experience :

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience as a supervisor in the IT industry.
  • Minimum four (4) years of’ experience supporting an enterprise desktop environment.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience managing technical implementation projects.
  • Availability to travel up to 25% of the month including domestic and international.
  • Advanced knowledge with PowerShell scripting, creating .bat files, and group policy.
  • Knowledge of network protocols including DHCP, DNS, MAC based security.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Visio.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and technical support skills.
  • Ability to articulate technical information effectively to customers as well as other IT staff to assist in remote troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory administration and Domain troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 platform and experience building images to deploy multiple computers at a time.
  • Advanced knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
  • Advanced knowledge of VMware vSphere.
  • Advanced knowledge of client patch management systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with any of the following airport common use platforms to oversee the development and upkeep of lab environments : Amadeus, SITA, Arinc, Ultra.
  • Ability to work extended hours as required for off-site support.
  • Availability to work or travel a variety of shifts and on weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Availability for on-call rotation.
  • Availability to be on-call for emergencies.

  • Job Duties

  • Provide day to day oversight of team members and ensure projects are progressing, within budget and completed on time. .
  • Complete audits of documentation, asset inventory, and software and hardware standards.
  • Complete onsite audits of airports.
  • Schedule Stations Support Specialists I and II for airport tasks.
  • Work with Development Persistent teams to ensure the Remote Technical Support Team is involved in development of new features affecting remote locations.
  • Assist with determining prioritization of work in progress and work to be completed.
  • Provide updates to Management of team’s project progress.
  • Provide technical training to team and act as an escalation to complicated, unresolved issues.
  • Support Disaster Recovery Systems.
  • Follow incident, problem, crisis and change management processes by department.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems relating to the network, computer and peripherals while working in an airport environment as well as remote support.
  • Update documentation based on the needs of the company’s remote IT assets within Microsoft Visio as well as provide troubleshooting documentation for cross-training other team members.
  • Perform Site audits and inventory.
  • Coordinate with business member to meet site requirements. This includes setup of new and existing sites.
  • Coordinate with multiple groups within IT on various projects, including Development, Network Engineering, Information Security and Service Delivery.
  • Track Time within a ticketing system.
  • Configure and setup standards for desktops, laptops, various vendor peripherals.
  • Mentor, review the work of, and train less experienced personnel.
  • Prioritize, address and follow through on multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Other duties as required.

    Office / IT - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. May be required to work various shifts / days in a 24 hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
