What can you expect? As the Pile Driver / Welder, you will work on various job sites within Alaska. You will be in a highly skilled role within the construction industry that involves both welding and pile driving. You will be responsible for welding and fabricating components for pile driving equipment and sometimes for the piles themselves. You will work with heavy machinery, welding tools, and other construction equipment to ensure that pile-driving operations are carried out safely and efficiently. This role requires a combination of welding expertise, knowledge of pile driving equipment, and a strong commitment to safety on the job site.
How will you do it?
Supervisory Responsibilities : This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : All around knowledge of materials, terms and practices in construction field. Proven knowledge of deep foundation installation techniques for driven and drilled steel piles, thermophiles and ad freeze piles, sheet piles, helical anchors and piles, rock anchors, and concrete foundations. Ability to use and operate equipment to install piles accurately and safely. Knowledge of various types of piles and the welding techniques best suited for each material. Understanding of how piles contribute to foundation systems, including the installation process and the importance of alignment and depth for structural stability.
