Job Description

As the Controller, you will manage and oversee all accounting operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and general ledger. Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. Maintain budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning and decision-making. Oversee standard cost, production variance analysis, activity costing, and customer / product margin analysis. Work with supply chain and review inventory, monitor cycle, and physical inventories and report on any variances. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity. Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business initiatives. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations. Mentor and support the accounting team to enhance performance and professional growth.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Controller should have : a strong educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven expertise in financial reporting and compliance within food, beverage, or industrial manufacturing. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Understanding of cost accounting for manufacturing. Knowledge of accounting systems and ERP software. Excellent leadership and team management skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. This role is in office and based in Fresno, CA; will relocate a candidate from within the United States.
