Design Drafter

Job Description :

SUMMARY / SCOPE OF POSITION :

Creates and modifies detailed drawings and parts using electrical CAD software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering. Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product. Checks drawings versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards. Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN / ECR documentation. May work with system management including file maintenance, backup and storage.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience using Windchill for part and document creation and release
• Experience using SAP for part and document management
• Experience using an electrical CAD system such as Xpedition, Altium, Cadence or Zuken.
• Understanding of engineering change process and manufacturing implementation
• Basic understanding of reading electrical schematics
• Good written communication skills for reports and documentation
