Salary :
Position Title : Program Coordinator
Position Function : The Senior Program Coordinatormanages and supervises the intake process for the mental health and substance programs. Serves as a liaison with other substance use providers, referral sources, local and state governing bodies, as well as other Changing Lives at Home Mental Health, Inc. programs. Program Director assists in implementation of an integrated service delivery system with other Changing Lives at Home Mental Health, Inc. programs and various community organizations. Represents Changing Lives at Home Mental Health, Inc. at all required meetings.
Educational Requirements : A Masters degree in one of the following or related fields :
i) Mental health,
ii) Health services,
iii) Public Health, or
iv) Business administration
Licensure and / or Certification :
- First aid and CPR certifications
- Board Registered Supervisor
- Valid State Driver's License
- Proof of Auto Insurance
- Ability to Utilize Personal Car for Travel Within the Region
Experience :
At least three-year post-masters experience, to include demonstrated leadership, familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and compliance related operations of the organizationKnowledge of current evidence-based practices and field implementation of those practicesKnowledge of Maryland regulationsStrong management skills to address personnel development and issuesTeamwork oriented, flexibility in working assignments and locationsResearch and training orientation to motivate employeesData management skills for evaluation and outcome measurement for services and contractsExcellent written and oral communication skillsSolution-focused problem-solving skillsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Working knowledge of computer systems. Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, analytical, oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with board members, community leaders, professionals and staff. Knowledge of professional standards and ethics for various disciplines.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Oversee administrative supervision of program staff.Train, supervise and provide leadership and support to staff.Assists the Executive Team in implementing other programs as directed.Develops program strategic plans consistent with AgencyWork with Executive Team to assess, develop and implement program(s) services appropriate to the needs of clients and their families.Establish, review and implement program(s) policies and procedures.Plans, develops and administers programs with measurable outcomes, for continualimprovementCoordinates regional-wide program services and related behavioral / mental healthImplementation ;programs and activities.Establish, maintain and nurture working relationships with referral sources and other community agencies to ensure a steady flow of eligible clients to program(s).In consultation with Executive Team, continuously consider new processes and initiatives to improve and / or expand services as appropriate.Resolves problems encountered during daily operations, determines appropriate solutions, and promotes teamwork.Provides information on program(s) goals and objectives, treatment plans, resources and other pertinent information to appropriate collaterals as needed.Monitors the compilation of statistical data and maintenance of departmental reports and records and shares appropriate feedback with staffProvides work instruction, assists employees with difficult and / or unusual assignments,and encourages innovation.Oversees division quality assurance, e.g. regarding state regulations, licensure, and accreditation standards.Oversees administrative supervision of division staff. Follow human resources policies to handle personnel matters, e.g., regarding staff competency.Advocates for mental health and substance use services throughout the community and region, using measurable annual division goals and outcomes.Evaluates programs to assure appropriate and adequate services and / or treatment for clients and familiesOther duties as assigned by the Executive Team.Beyond work experience, qualified candidates are expected to display the core knowledge, skills, and abilities essential to success as the Program Director of a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program.
