We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our practice in Birmingham, Alabama. You will work with a select team providing tax compliance services to predominately manufacturing and distribution clients. You must be able to manage projects, work under time pressures, multi-task and communicate effectively both verbal and written. The right candidate will be organized, proactive and results oriented.

What you will do :
Prepare Federal and state corporate, partnership, and individual tax returnsPerform technical tax research on a variety of Federal, state, and international tax topicsPerform a variety of tax consulting projects such as permanent establishment analyses and nexus studiesAssist with the preparation of income tax provisions for corporate taxpayers under ASC 740Provide timely and high-quality services and deliverables that exceed client expectationsMaintain active communication to manage expectations and ensure client satisfactionPrepare clear, concise workpapers and other communicationsWhat you need to bring :
2 - 4 years of professional Federal and state income tax experience including experience in public accountingBA / BS degree in Accounting or Masters degree in Accounting / TaxationCPA license or similar certification preferred. CPA or Enrolled Agent certification required for a Senior Associate role (Associate role for CPA candidates)Excellent research, writing and communication skills in EnglishProcess-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skillsSolid organizational skills with the ability to multi-taskPositive team player attitudeDesired Qualifications :
