Part-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist (Hybrid or all in office)
We’re looking for a reliable Part-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our small nonprofit team. In this role, you’ll keep payments and records organized while supporting our mission to restore hope to teens, build thriving families, and empower supportive communities.
What You’ll Do
As our Accounts Receivable Specialist , you’ll ensure payments are recorded accurately and processes run smoothly. A typical day may include :
Retrieving mail from the Salmon Creek USPS post office box
Recording, preparing, and filing payment receipts and reports
Verifying, organizing, and reporting daily bank deposits
Entering and updating account information for Vendors, Program Parents / Clients, and Insurance Providers across multiple platforms
Receiving, addressing, and forwarding emails to appropriate staff
Receiving, retrieving, entering, and filing invoices, receipts, and vendor / client documents
Managing data between accounting, CRM, and other platforms
Assisting with other tasks as needed (we’re a small team and support each other)
Requirements
2 years of Accounts Receivable experience
Accounting or bookkeeping coursework or certifications
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Strong skills in the Microsoft Office suite (desktop and web versions)
Experience with CRM platforms
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Preferred Experience
Nonprofit accounting experience
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop
