A local construction company is aggressively scaling its façade restoration business across the East Coast and building the financial backbone to support that growth. This new Project Accountant role will own both job costing and estimating while translating operational scope into financial performance insights that drive smarter decisions and more profitable projects. You won't just "keep the books." You'll partner directly with the Owner and CFO to improve systems, tighten controls, streamline workflows and evolve how the business operates. Project Accountant Responsibilities :
- Create project estimates based on operational statements of work and enter them into QuickBooks Online
- Track job costs, margins and performance variances to drive actionable financial reporting
- Help refine estimating processes, pricing models and cost-tracking methodologies
- Oversee project billing
- Prepare invoicing bundles, contracts and approval workflows using PandaDoc
- Process AP, AR and journal entries in collaboration with operations and leadership
- Maintain internal reporting dashboards and spreadsheets for job performance and forecasting
- Partner with leadership to implement more efficient accounting and project-tracking systems
- Proactively identify issues, opportunities and smarter ways of working
- Participate in strategic discussions with Owner and CFO related to revenue growth and profitability
- Wear multiple hats in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
Project Accountant Requirements :
