Job Title :  Engineer – CAD CAM

Location :  Chandler, AZ

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled CAD CAM Engineer to join our Avionics Design Group supporting launch vehicle programs. This role involves working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with design and program engineers to develop printed wiring boards (PWBs) for aerospace and defense applications.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and layout of printed wiring boards (PWBs) for avionics and test systems.
  • Collaborate with circuit and mechanical engineers to ensure optimal form, fit, and function.
  • Participate in peer reviews and design milestone reviews.
  • Communicate project status to engineering and program management.
  • Prepare fabrication artwork (ODB++, Gerbers) and manage symbol / footprint libraries.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of recent experience in PWB design using Cadence Allegro.
  • AA / AS degree or equivalent post-secondary technical training.
  • Proficiency in designing high-density, multilayer boards (6–16 layers).
  • Experience with digital, analog, power, and high-speed controlled-impedance circuits (., SERDES, DDR3 / DDR4).
  • Familiarity with rigid-flex assemblies and IPC-2221 / IPC-7351 standards.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Understanding of printed wiring assembly manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with CAM350 and / or Valor DFM tools.
  • Familiarity with CAD Layout, Mentor PADS, or Xpedition tool suites.
