High Point University is seeking a Director of Enrollment. The Director of Enrollment for the Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy (FWSOP) leads the design, implementation, and management of enrollment strategies to attract and enroll a varied and highly qualified student body. The person in this position works directly with the High Point University (HPU) Office of Graduate Admissions to facilitate student recruitment, admissions, and enrollment while collaborating with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to align efforts with the FWSOP’s mission and values and ACPE accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Enrollment and Recruitment
- Design and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract a variety of qualified candidates to the FWSOP Doctor of Pharmacy program.
- Collaborate with the Assistant / Associate Dean of Student and Professional Affairs and the HPU Office of Graduate Admissions to develop and implement strategies, programs, and events aimed at recruiting prospective students.
- Represent the FWSOP at recruitment events, open houses, campus tours, and information sessions. Includes occasional evenings, weekends, and travel.
- Build relationships with academic programs across HPU to create pipelines from non-pre-pharmacy bachelors degree programs.
Admissions Oversight
Manage the FWSOP enrollment process, including application review by the FWSOP Admissions committee and orientation of first-year students.Ensure compliance with admissions requirements, including the management of immunization records, background checks, and drug screens.Leverage PharmCAS to streamline the application process and enhance the student experience.Communication and Outreach
Articulate the FWSOP’s mission, values, curriculum, differential advantages and admissions requirements to prospective students and advisors through personal interactions, group presentations, and pre-prepared materials.Collaborate with the HPU Offices of Graduate Admissions and Communications to to create promotional materials, social media campaigns, newsletters, and website content.Foster relationships with pre-pharmacy advisors from other institutions and representatives from professional organizations to expand recruitment outreach.Collaboration and Records Management
Partner with the Experiential Education Department to ensure accurate and timely receipt of student records, including immunization forms, background checks, and drug screens, and provide documentation to Boards of Pharmacy as required.Work with faculty and Deans to align recruitment messaging with academic priorities and facilitate faculty participation in recruitment efforts.Other Duties
Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant / Associate Dean of Student and Professional Affairs.Qualifications
Education and Training
Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, business administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).Experience in higher education student affairs administration, counseling, or a related educational program with at least one year of experience preferred.Experience in student service and / or event planning in higher education is strongly preferred.Familiarity with PharmCAS is strongly preferred.Skills and Competencies
Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking and group presentations.Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.Proficiency with CRM systems, student information systems, and analytics tools.Knowledge of trends in pharmacy education, accreditation standards, and graduate recruitment best practices.Work Environment
Travel is required for recruitment events and conferences, and flexibility for occasional evening and weekend events is necessary.Office setting with a collaborative and dynamic team environment.Application Process :
