Job Summary
This position is essential for treating patients as per physician orders and departmental policies. You will work independently in various acute and critical care settings, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare personnel to make appropriate treatment recommendations. We are looking for a skilled Respiratory Therapist capable of treating patients across all age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Management Responsibility
This is a non-management role, reporting to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from a Respiratory Therapy program recognized by the American Medical Association or equivalent. Must either be licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina, or a senior graduating in the next three months.
Required Certifications / Registrations / Licenses
Must be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in South Carolina or eligible for licensure, with BLS certification required. Maintain NBRC credentials. Employees hired prior to June 2016 may hold Certified Respiratory Therapist designation.
Employees hired after June 2016 must pass the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam at the Registered Therapist cut score and complete the Clinical Simulation Exam within 6 months of graduation. Failure to pass the clinical simulation exam within the first 6 months will result in termination from Prisma Health.
NRP and PALS required in the Children's Hospital before working independently in the NICU and PICU.
Other Required Skills and Experience
Teamwork is essential; strong communication, computer, and organizational skills are required.
