Law Intern

Our Billings MT office is seeking a motivated and high-achieving law student to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program . This hands-on experience offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys and legal professionals gaining exposure to real-world practice areas client matters and the inner workings of a dynamic law firm.

This is a paid internship with the opportunity for a flexible part-time or full-time schedule.

POSITION SUMMARY :

The Law Intern provides support to attorneys and paralegals while gaining practical experience in various aspects of legal practice. The intern conducts legal research drafts memoranda and documents assists with case preparation and observes client interactions court proceedings and firm operations. This role is designed to give law students meaningful exposure to litigation processes and day to day law firm activities fostering professional development and an understanding of the practice of law.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Conduct legal research and prepare written summaries and memoranda.
• Draft and edit documents such as discovery responses and client correspondence.
• Draft basic case summaries under the guidance of attorneys or paralegals.
• Contact clients to gather missing information or documentation.
• Support case preparation through document review and factual analysis.
• Shadow attorneys and legal staff to observe case development firm processes and workflows.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Support other duties as assigned.
