Accountabilities :
Supervisory / Management Responsibility
This is a non-management role that reports to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements :
Graduate from an accredited school for Respiratory Therapy or meet eligibility requirements for licensure in South Carolina.
Required Certifications / Registrations / Licenses :
Must hold a valid license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in South Carolina or qualify for licensure. BLS certification required. Maintain NBRC credentials. Certification may vary for employees hired prior to June 2016.
Individuals hired since June 2016 must pass the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam at the Registered Therapist cut score and take the Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of graduation. Failure to pass the Clinical Simulation Exam within this timeframe will result in termination.
NRP and PALS certifications are required for independent work in the NICU and PICU.
Other Required Skills and Experience :
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, along with strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
