Microsoft Cloud Engineer
Reports To : IT Infrastructure Manager

Authorities / Responsibilities :
The position of Microsoft Cloud Engineer will be responsible for supporting the IT team with maintaining Cloud services including Microsoft cloud infrastructure, and related systems while upholding high levels of customer service and communication.
The primary duties for this position are focused on M365 and Azure systems management which includes cloud network, cloud virtualization and support, managing directory services, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, patch management, backups, monitoring, and inventory. Additionally, this position will interface with the Helpdesk ticketing system, IT support entities and the end-user to resolve incidents.
- Provides highest level of enterprise M365 systems configuration, maintenance, and support to include Exchange online, Entra ID management, MS One Drive, MS Teams, MS SharePoint
- Manage Active Directory (Entra ID), DNS, DHCP, certificate authorities, Exchange database and migrations, file level permissions, management of group policy and organizational units
- Maintains documentation and inventory for cloud servers, hardware and software
- Maintains system monitoring tools to ensure the integrity and availability of all IT cloud resources, reviewing system and application logs
- Participates in compliance audit activities that include audit log collection, analysis, and reporting
- Performs daily backup operations that include ensuring backups are successfully accomplished and the proper disposition of media
- Add and configure new services and hardware as required in support of break-fix activities or system projects
- Participates in the on-call rotating schedule to ensure 24X7 support
- Participates in the IT Change Management processes
- Interacts effectively with others and clearly communicates verbally and in writing
- Provides end-user support via telephone, email, face-to-face, and remotely
- Performs after hours' system support during scheduled and unscheduled outages and standard monthly patching requirements as well as license management
Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience :
Bachelor's Degree plus 5 or more years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience requiredExperience managing enterprise Microsoft 365 environmentExperience with Microsoft Windows server operating systems including Active Directory (Entra ID), Exchange online, and Windows file and print servicesExperience managing a virtualized environmentExperience with patch managementExperience managing backup and recovery toolsExperience managing Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms to include IntuneAbility to understand and comply with relevant department and / or corporate policies, procedures and guidelines as they pertain to company data and technologyExperience using performance analysis tools to monitor systemsExperience with performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as well as configuration of CPU, memory, and storageAbility to assist with developing and participating in disaster recovery exercisesKnowledge of IT concepts, best practices, and proceduresSelf-motivated individual with the ability to work individually and in a team environmentProficiency with Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, and PDF softwareExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in a DOD contracting or like environment is preferredKnowledge and understanding of ITIL concepts such as Change ManagementLiaises With : IT Management, IT Security, End Users, Technical Support, and Suppliers
