About the Role

The Company is seeking an SVP / Chief Fiduciary Officer & Fiduciary Legal Counsel to serve as the principal legal advisor for fiduciary matters within its Wealth Management Division. This executive role is pivotal in overseeing the legal and compliance framework for fiduciary administration, including trust and estate services, qualified plans, IRAs, and investment management relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for fiduciary oversight, legal advisory, regulatory compliance, and risk management, and will play a critical role in strategic planning and legal risk mitigation. The role also involves supporting client-facing efforts, particularly in high-net-worth estate planning opportunities, and requires a strong background in fiduciary law, trust and estate administration, and wealth management legal support. Candidates for this position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, a law degree, and be eligible to practice in the relevant states. A minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years focused on fiduciary law, is required, along with a preference for those with 5+ years of supervisory experience. The role demands superior knowledge of trusts and estates planning, fiduciary tax and accounting principles, and the legal and regulatory requirements applicable to banks with trust powers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supporting business development or client relationship teams in a legal or technical fiduciary advisory capacity, and must possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage complex problems and prioritize effectively.
