Mechanical Engineer

Cruz Associates Inc. of Yorktown, VA has a position open and is looking for qualified candidates for an Mechanical Engineer. The job location is the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head, MD .

Scope : Provide mechanical engineering analysis and support services for industrial operations and manufacturing.

Responsibilities :

• Experience in Industrial operations and manufacturing
• Review of facility designs for compliance with energetic requirements.
• Review of drawings for compliance with energetic manufacturing to include controls, schematics, and structural drawings.
• Ability to evaluate step by step processes and identify hazards.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within field
• Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
• Conducts product testing and creates models and prototypes.
• Some fabrication involved, operation, application, installation, and / or repair of mechanical products.
• Provides leadership and guidance to a functional area and the organization.
• Advisory role on complex and challenging projects and initiatives
• Work is highly independent.
• Explosives Operations (Preferred)
