We are seeking a Litigation Case Manager / Paralegal to become a part of our fast-growing and leading personal injury law firm in Denton, Texas. A Paralegal degree / certificate is not required, but any candidate must have at least 5 years experience managing personal injury cases in the litigation stage.  We are an AV-Rated Preeminent Personal Injury law firm focused on quality over quantity. We are NOT a high-volume "mill" firm, looking for someone to manage impossibly large dockets. At any one time, our litigation paralegal will oversee no more than 50 to 60 active cases.  You will also have the close support of our entire team, including dedicated legal assistants.  Our firm is run differently than many "big city" law firms whose primary concern is often the number of cases being processed and closed. We focus on providing highly-effective, focused representation to fewer clients and leading the way in our area by maximizing results.  Quantity is never something we strive for.

Responsibilities :

• Organize and maintain case files and track deadlines
• Communicate with process servers, clients, counsel, courts, police officers, and expert witnesses
• Drafting and eFiling petitions, coordinating service of process, managing discovery requests and responses, drafting and filing motions, affidavits, and subpoenas
• Calendaring and scheduling depositions, mediations, hearings, trials
• Assist in trial preparation including exhibits, evidence prep, and notebooks
• Legal research
• Obtain & verify medical record and billing affidavits
• Assist attorneys & team members with all pre-litigation matters
