Legal Secretary

Established criminal defense attorney seeks a full time, organized Legal Secretary. Office hours are Monday- Friday from 8 : 30am to 4 : 30pm. Opportunity for pay increases and benefits after 90 days.

Duties May Include (Not Limited To) :

Reception duties; including greeting clients and guests, answering and directing telephone calls, making phone calls, scheduling commitments, etc.

Researching relevant cases and obtaining requested data

Composing drafts, letters, documents, memos, and emails

Proofreading and / or editing legal documents

Sorting mail, mailing correspondence, etc.

Requirements :

Pleasant demeanor, friendly, outgoing

Attention to detail, thorough, organized

Ability to work additional hours to meet deadlines at times

Knowledge of legal terminology, law, processes, etc.
