About the Role

The Company is seeking a Tax Managing Director with a focus on State and Local Taxation. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to clients, evaluating strategies to minimize tax burdens, and staying abreast of potential tax risks and changes in tax policy. This role involves a significant amount of research, analysis, and the preparation of tax studies. The Tax Managing Director will also be involved in marketing, networking, and business development, as well as maintaining key client relationships. Additionally, the role includes acting as a leader in the tax services team, providing guidance on complex tax issues, and supervising a team of tax professionals.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a Master's degree or Juris Doctorate preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in State and Local Taxation is required, along with a CPA certification or other relevant certification. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance, consulting, and controversy, and be adept at managing and developing a team. Advanced knowledge of tax standards, research tools, and the ability to interact with professionals at all levels is essential. The role demands excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
