Physician Assistant

Bon Secours Commonwealth Internal Medicine – Richmond, VA

Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7 : 30 AM–5 : 00 PM | Outpatient Only

Bon Secours Commonwealth Internal Medicine in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our growing primary care team. We care for adult patients (18+), providing comprehensive, patient-focused internal medicine services in a supportive and collegial environment.

Our practice is committed to teamwork, compassion, and building a work “family” where every provider and staff member supports one another to deliver exceptional care.

Position Highlights

  • Patient Population : Adults, 18+
  • Average Patients / Day : 20
  • Schedule : Monday–Friday, 7 : 30 AM–5 : 00 PM
  • Call Schedule : Every 4th week
  • After-hours call : 5 : 00 PM–7 : 30 AM (Mon–Fri), 24-hour call Saturday & Sunday
  • Call is shared and manageable, focusing on patient needs only
  • Virtual Health : Optional as needed based on patient demand

A Typical Day

  • Mix of annual exams, follow-ups, and acute visits (in-person and virtual)
  • First patients begin at 7 : 30 AM (often virtual), in-person visits start at 8 : 00 AM
  • Last patient scheduled at 4 : 30 PM
  • Dedicated admin time for refills, patient messages, and charting
  • Supported by 3 CMAs and 1 LPN
  • Collaborative care alongside 2 physicians and 1 advanced practice clinician

    • Qualifications

    Education :

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Physician Assistant Studies
  • Licensure : Active Virginia license (or eligibility)
  • Certifications : Current BLS and ACLS required
  • Experience : New graduates welcome; experienced providers encouraged to apply
