Pratt & Whitney’s West Palm Beach site is looking for dedicated individuals to support our EH&S organization. We have an opportunity for an Environmental, Health & Safety Generalist to be based in Jupiter, FL.
Support implementation of the RTX / Pratt & Whitney (P&W) EH&S Management System
Oversight for all applicable federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies and procedures (Applicable safety programs include LOTO, electrical safety, machine guarding, elevated work, confined space, industrial hygiene, risk assessment, blood borne pathogens, powered industrial vehicles, respirator protection and hearing conservation).
Write, review, update and implement environment, health & safety procedures, reports and training as required by local site requirements, RTX and P&W Policy and all Federal, State, and Local regulatory agencies
Create, update and manage internal EHS training content and external training coordination
Work with Human Resources and Operations to implement EH&S training requirements and sustain processes to ensure training compliance
Inspect, audit, assess facility activities related to work practices for compliance as required by local, state and federal law and RTX policy
Lead and support EHS safety committees with the goal of reducing injuries, incidents and meeting company initiatives
Experience in company specific safety programs : Powered Industrial Vehicles, Motor Vehicle Safety, PPE, ergonomics, Audits & Inspections, EHS Management of Change and the IT Systems that support
Lead and execute Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) system elements and incorporate them into the EHS organization as well as into the company businesses
Interact with employees daily to create and build relationships that will drive collaboration for bases to promote relationships, learn the tasks employees perform and be known as a resource to the employees at the facility
Internal ownership selected programs including implementation, active management and updates.
Participate in the site EH&S Council as needed and hold Business Unit Councils for internal departments you support.
Lead efforts to continuously improve EH&S performance and operations, including improvement programs and corrective actions, environmental protection projects, conservation activities, and integration of EH&S initiatives into overall business operations
Interface with government agencies to maintain regulatory compliance (audits, annual reports, permit applications, etc.) as required
Conduct safety audits / inspections and analyze audit findings to develop corrective actions and achieve and maintain safe work practices
Work consistently with operations to develop a positive working relationship while building EHS culture and understanding
Flexibility to perform work on all shifts as needed
Travel is up to 10%.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Science or Engineering
5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting or an Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience.

Team leadership skills including influence, delegation, and management
Organizational / project management skills
Demonstrated record of improvement in EHS metrics and culture culminating in successful audits

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
