Job Description : The Technical Specialist 4 (TS4) will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data engineering solutions for the Agency, focusing on data platform selection, data modeling, and enterprise data architecture development. This position entails making decisions that impact the configuration of data analytics environments, integration systems, and environment-specific data storage.

Responsibilities :

• Design and implement Agency data engineering solutions, including data platform selection and recommendations, data modeling, and enterprise data architecture development.
• Make decisions affecting the configuration of data analytics environments, integration systems, and environment-specific data storage.
• Collaborate with IT Architecture staff, Agency CIO, and / or IT Managers to design data solutions that meet agency requirements.
• Assist in analyzing the business case and / or IT architecture changes related to the solution design.
• Recommend strategy by defining tasks and / or leading meetings regarding the design, implementation, operation, and ongoing maintenance of data systems.
• Work closely with Enterprise partners to configure systems for integrating agency data into data lake, data quality, and data curation solutions.
• Provide guidance to DODD's Data Management team in designing and implementing best-practice solutions for data integration with Enterprise and Agency data platform environments.
• Collaborate with other Database Administrators, Data Engineers, and Business Intelligence professionals as part of a team.
