job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide expert perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the OR. Assist in patient positioning, preparation, and safety protocols before, during, and after surgery. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure smooth operative flow. Document all patient care activities accurately using the EPIC electronic documentation system. Float to other units as needed, demonstrating adaptability and team support. Handle approximately 22 cases per day, managing multiple procedures efficiently. Work in a teaching facility dedicated to education and clinical excellence. Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1 : 1, ensuring personalized and attentive care for each patient. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. CNOR certification is preferred, demonstrating specialized perioperative nursing expertise. Experience in orthopedic and neuro surgeries is highly desirable. Proficiency with Da Vinci robotic surgical systems is a plus, offering candidates a chance to work with innovative surgical technology. Valid RN license in the state of practice. Strong understanding of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient safety standards. Flexibility to float to various units and adapt to different surgical cases.
