job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide onsite network support for Cisco routing, switching, wireless, and firewall environments. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely manner. Assist with network design, configuration changes, and best practices. Monitor and maintain network performance, security, and availability. Work with in-house IT staff on escalated tickets and knowledge transfer. Document network changes and provide recommendations for improvements. Support ad-hoc projects as needed, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments. 5+ years of professional experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on Cisco technologies. Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching, routing, and wireless solutions. Working knowledge of Cisco ASA / Firepower or Palo Alto firewalls is a plus. Familiarity with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Cisco CCNP (or higher) certification strongly preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a part-time capacity. Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. Location : Onsite in Dallas, TX (occasional remote coordination possible). 10–20 hours per month. Ongoing, part-time engagement. $75–$100 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
