Donor Communications Specialist

Combining strong writing and creativity with excellent project management and organization the Donor Communications Specialist manages and writes communications to support Principal Gifts fundraising including factsheets reports proposals presentations website copy and video scripts. They coordinate cross-functional teams provide guidance and serve as a resource for communicating TNCs 2030 goals and global priorities. They lead the CEO acknowledgement letter process in partnership with the Office of the CEO and Donor Stewardship Team including identifying process improvements providing training and guidance and coordinating the process and peer writers. They provide project management skills editorial advice and coordination of cross-departmental communication efforts.

The Donor Communications Specialist helps achieve the strategic priorities of the Donor Communications Team by collaborating closely with other team members. They serve as a resource for the Donor Communications Team to support complex communications projects by providing writing and editing assistance. They support the Director and Associate Director as needed regarding strategy project management and team outreach. They assist in developing and disseminating key organizational messages among other teams and program staff. They work in close cooperation with any or all of the following : Donor Communications Team and Donor Relations Team members Principal Gifts and other fundraisers Global Conservation program staff senior leaders legal and finance staff donors contract writers and designers vendors and others as needed.

The Donor Communications Specialist maintains up-to-date knowledge of donor communications tools and practices and applies that knowledge to the organizations fundraising goals. They maintain relationships with closely aligned teams in Marketing Development Communications and Conservation to ensure consistency of organizational messaging and materials and to foster greater organizational collaboration.

What Youll Bring :

Bachelors degree and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination.

Experience writing or editing newsletters magazines annual reports website stories donor profiles presidential acknowledgment letters campaign brochures funding proposals fact sheets presentations and / or equivalent.

Experience generating reports and analyzing and interpreting data.

Experience managing multiple tasks with organization accuracy and attention to detail.

Experience working across departments.

Experience coursework or other training in principles and practices of relevant field.

Salary Information :

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $ 66950 - $97500 . This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidates actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors including for example the candidates location qualifications specific skills and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
