Experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney (10+ years) (Pearl)

McGlinchey Stafford is a premier midsized business law firm offering services in more than 40 practice areas through a highly integrated national platform. The firm is seeking a commercial litigator to join our office in Jackson, MS. A top candidate for the position will have 10+ years of experience in complex commercial litigation. In this role, you will assist our team in representing clients in commercial litigation, including working with financial institution clients and representing them in state, federal, and appellate actions. Experience in financial services litigation and / or real estate litigation is a plus, but not required. Candidates must be licensed in Mississippi and that license must be active and in good standing .

Requirements of the position :

• 10+ years of prior experience in complex commercial litigation. Financial services and / or real estate litigation is a plus but not required;
• A current license to practice law in the state of Mississippi must be active and in good standing;
• Experience drafting complaints, answers, motions, and other pleadings;
• Experience leading the development of a strategy for all phases of litigation;
• Strong research, writing, analytical, oral advocacy, and negotiation skills are required; and
• Federal court experience is a plus.
