Tapered Design Specialist
Location : Kansas City, KS
Employment Type : Full-Time
Overview :
We’re currently seeking a Tapered Design Specialist with a background in commercial roofing systems to join a growing team. This role involves creating tapered insulation layouts and providing takeoffs based on architectural roofing plans. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of low-slope roofing applications, AutoCAD, and insulation materials.
Key Responsibilities :
- Produce accurate takeoffs and tapered insulation layouts for roofing projects
- Create CAD-based shop drawings for use in submittals and installation
- Interpret architectural and structural roofing plans and specifications
- Support sales and technical teams with design solutions and material recommendations
- Collaborate with roofing contractors, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure design accuracy
- Provide timely and professional customer support for technical inquiries
