Job Summary
- Responsible for the collection, decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Supports surgical services and hospital units by ensuring the availability of sterile instruments and supplies while adhering to regulatory standards. Works under the guidance of a certified technician or supervisor while completing certification requirements.

Collect and decontaminate used instruments and equipmentInspect and assemble surgical instrument setsOperate autoclaves and sterilization equipment safelyMaintain inventory and storage of sterile suppliesFollow infection control guidelines (AAMI, AORN, OSHA)Communicate effectively with surgical and nursing teamsDocument sterilization cycles and quality control checksAssist with case cart assembly and distributionKnowledge / Skills / Abilities / Expectations
