Accounting Payroll Technician

Century Group is in search of an experienced Payroll Accountant to join our team in Stockton, CA. Qualified candidates with 3+ years of payroll experience are encouraged to apply. Local candidates only.

Pay compensation is between $30-45 / hr.

Payroll Specific Duties

• Processes weekly and biweekly payroll, including collecting and verifying timekeeping information while ensuring compliance with company policy, multiple collective bargaining agreements, and all Federal, State, and local regulations governing disbursement activities, including payroll taxation as appropriate.
• Maintains accurate payroll records including required payroll garnishment and leave accrual balances.
• Processes year-end reports, including W-2, W-2c, etc. Processes manual checks when required.
• Develops financial and operational reports when requested by compiling summary data of earnings, state and federal taxes, deductions, PTO, disability, etc.
• Works directly with Human Resources staff to resolve payroll related issues and to implement payroll changes.
