Public Relations / Marketing Officer at Wisconsin
- Building and maintaining relationships with journalists, reporters, and media outlets on events and programmes run on and off campus.
- Write and distribute press releases.
- Developing strategies and protocols for handling crisis situations.
- Oversee the institution's presence on social media platforms including but not limited to web posting content.
- Building relationships with community stakeholders, including customers, partners, and local organizations.
- Monitoring media coverage and public sentiment to identify trends and insights.
- Keep university community informed about news, developments, and initiatives through internal newsletters.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure alignment and consistency in marketing and communication strategies.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS :
A bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field is required. Professional certificates are a plus.2 years experience in public relations, media relations, corporate communications, or related fields is required.Strong written and verbal communication skills including proficiency in writing press releases, speeches, social media posts, and other communication materials.Social media savvy through creating engaging content, monitoring online conversations, and responding to inquiries and comments.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.Ability to speak French will be an added advantage.Submit your CV to hr@wiuc-ghana.edu.gh
