The Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking a mission-driven Agency Medical Director to oversee healthcare across 32 facilities , ensuring that approximately 30,000 individuals in custody receive high-quality, evidence-based, and constitutionally appropriate care

Position Highlights

  • Chief of Health Services for IDOC
  • Supervise medical staff and clinical operations
  • Oversee healthcare contracts, budgets, and compliance
  • Ensure quality assurance and continuous improvement
  • Serve as liaison with legal, regulatory, and oversight bodies

  • Illinois medical license (MD or DO)
