The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is hiring a full-time Vet Assistant to make a difference for people and animals at our Spay / Neuter Clinic in West Allis. The WHS Spay / Neuter Clinic makes spay / neuter accessible and performs thousands of surgeries each year. The clinic also partners with our Pets for Life program to provide free surgeries, making an impact not only for animals, but for the whole community.
As a Veterinary Assistant at our Spay / Neuter Clinic, you will hone your surgical support skills while working alongside our fun and committed team of veterinarians and support staff, along with a management team dedicated to supporting your growth and development. The Vet Assistant reports to the Spay / Neuter Clinic Manager and works first shift. The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is the oldest and largest shelter in Wisconsin. It was founded in 1879 and operates shelters in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Door, Brown, and Kenosha Counties, as well as a Spay / Neuter Clinic in West Allis. The organization offers adoption services, youth programs, low-cost veterinary resources, retail stores, volunteer programs, dog training classes, and much more. The Milwaukee Campus also houses the state's busiest Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. WHS is an independent nonprofit and receives no general government funding and is not part of any national umbrella group.
