People Operations Generalist

Glass Roots Construction (GRC) was founded by a team of well-funded career telecom and construction professionals. We look to leverage the latest technologies, best-in-industry equipment, and up-to-date construction and safety practices to build a first-class fiber optic utility construction firm in multiple markets throughout the US.

As GRC grows, this role offers the opportunity to develop into a People Ops Partner path, gaining exposure to employee relations, advising managers, and contributing to broader People strategy once the basics are built and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance

• Manage compliance processes : background checks, drug screens, I-9s, unemployment claims, garnishments, workers' compensation, and employment verifications.
• Maintain accurate and audit-ready employee records in Rippling.
• Track and monitor driver license expirations through Holman and LeeTrans.
• Ensure compliance with state payroll tax requirements and workers' compensation filings.
• Support Prevailing Wage payroll compliance
