PrideStaff Bend is seeking an Mechanical Engineer for a local aviation company. This is a mid level role that requires 2-5 years of experience.
This position is responsible for improving manufacturing procedures, updating drawing packages, writing and enhancing work instructions and test procedures, product design and support, quality engineering existing products, tooling design, fixture design and product testing. Additional responsibilities include project management, accomplishing production technician level work, quality control inspections, precision assembly, and mechanical repair of products and equipment.
Essential Duties and Requirements :
- Minimum Education : BS in Engineering from accredited university, and / or equivalent
apprenticeship
Minimum two years of experience working within a manufacturing and / or precisionassembly environment
Software Knowledge : Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop,AutoDesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or equivalent
Must be able to work in a team environment and be willing to help other team members tocomplete projects on time
Must possess critical thinking skills, as well as excellent communication and organizationalSkills
Must possess technical writing skills and experience writing technical documents (i.e. TestProcedures, Test Reports, Failure Analysis, etc.)
Must be effective with hands-on manufacturing and precision assembly using a wide varietyof tools and machinery
Must be available to travel when needed to meet job and customer requirementsFamiliarity with RTCA DO-160 testing and Aircraft Mechanical and Electro-mechanical systemsWorking knowledge of aircraft systems, EMI, RFI, Lightning, aircraft construction, aircraft maintenance, and aircraft operationOrganizational Core Competencies :
