Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically skilled Quality Inspector to ensure materials components and finished products meet all engineering and performance standards. The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining product integrity performing precision inspections and ensuring complete and accurate documentation throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect Incoming Materials

Visually examine and count received materials for accuracy and quality.

Verify documentation to confirm compliance with established standards.

Perform Detailed Checks

Conduct visual dimensional and non-destructive testing (NDT) on components and assemblies.

Use precision instruments such as calipers micrometers gauges and other measuring devices.

Document Findings

Accurately record inspection results and identify non-conformances.

Maintain organized documentation for accepted and rejected parts.

Verify Product Performance

Perform in-house testing and verification to ensure all products meet specifications.

Confirm part alignment with blueprints and engineering drawings.

Conduct Outside Inspections

Occasionally travel to vendor facilities to perform off-site quality inspections.

Maintain Clean Work Area

Keep inspection stations organized safe and efficient.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Knowledge

Solid understanding of mechanical principles industrial equipment and manufacturing processes.

Skills

Proficiency with precision measuring tools and NDT techniques .

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.

Documentation

Skilled in recording organizing and analyzing inspection data.

Problem Solving

Strong ability to identify issues and recommend corrective actions .

Communication

Effective verbal and written communication for team collaboration.

Physical Requirements

Able to stand walk bend and lift up to 50 lbs .

Strong hand-eye coordination (eye test required).

Comfortable working in both hot and cold environments.

Education

Technical degree or vocational training preferred.
