Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Emergency Department position requiring a NM or compact RN license and TNCC certification.
Responsibilities
Work in a busy Emergency Department of a Level I Trauma, teaching, and children's hospitalAdult and pediatric patient population with a high percentage of admissions and ED holding casesTypical patient ratio is 1 : 5Shift options include 36 or 48 hours per week with day shifts availableWeekend shifts are required as needed, including both day and night weekendsFloating expected to adult progressive care units and potentially to ED Holding and Trauma as neededFloating to Pediatric ED is optionalCerner is used for chartingDuties include medication administration, IV medication management, and clinical documentationFirst-time travelers may be considered if they have at least 2 years of Level I Trauma experienceIncreased number of admitted holds currently in the EDNo on-call requiredFree parking available on siteRequests for more than 7 days off require approvalRequirements
Active NM or compact RN license; pending license acceptedAt least 2 years of Emergency Department experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferredCertifications required : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (must be current before consideration), NIHSS (may be obtained before start)COVID vaccination required; exemptions allowed with completed exemption formNo locals accepted within a 75-mile radiusMust wear black scrubs (not provided)No RQI certifications acceptedBenefits
