Key Accountabilities
Students in this role will :
Gain a deep understanding of DTE's operations, business model and key initiatives.Produce clear, useful, and value-added work product to support business unit with various assignments and projects.Gain real hands-on professional work experienceAcquire a new network of professional contactsGain a new / enhanced set of soft business skillsHave a successful summer experience and desire to come back and work for DTEPerform all other related duties as assignedMinimum Education & Experience Requirements
Pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Must be an active student status. Students who graduate from college, prior to starting work, are not eligible for the program.College students will be asked to provide an official transcript as proof of eligibility prior to receiving an offer letter of employment.Some positions might require driving. Those positions will require the student to have a valid driver's license, a reliable means of transportation and an acceptable driving record.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and email etiquetteExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to professionally and confidently interact with individuals at all levels of the organizationAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentPossession of excellent organizational, follow-up, and follow through skillsKnowledge of business correspondence, English, spelling, basic accounting and grammarAbility to efficiently handle competing priorities and tasks, remain organized and meet deadlinesAbility to establish and maintain confidential and effective working relationships with supervisor, coworkers and managementPossess excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with a welcoming, cooperative and supportive demeanorAbility to function within a matrix organization in which functional and business leaders have equal authority within the organization and employees report to both a functional leader and a business leaderOther Qualifications
