Responsibilities include recording patient chief complaint, updating medical history and medications in the EHR. The technician checks visual acuity, current glass prescription, performs preliminary refraction, evaluates pupils, motility, etc. The technician is also responsible for contact lens instruction, and all ancillary testing such as VF, photography, OCT etc. The technician assists the front office staff with telephone triage. Good communication skills are essential, bilingual ability a plus. Prefer 2 yrs active tech experience with pay commensurate with experience. Average work week 35 hrs.
