Job Summary :

  • Experience : Experience in corporate, partnerships and individual returns
  • minimum of three years of experience performing tax services in a CPA firm or small business
  • Strong accounting skills including maintaining cash and accrual basis general ledgers
  • Strong QuickBooks knowledge, Microsoft Office
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • License : CPA required

day in the life of a Senior Tax Accountant :

  • Be responsible for recording activity after-the-fact for small businesses in order to prepare the tax return
  • Prepare federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C Corporations, S Corporations, trusts, estates and individuals
  • Research tax issues and reach conclusions with adequate technical support
  • pply technical knowledge and work experience to consulting engagements
  • Train, mentor and provide work direction to staff
  • Recognize, anticipate and resolve tax issues; make recommendations
  • Review and organize tax information supplied by client
