Federal Sales Executive
Integrated Management Strategies (IMS) is an award-winning, fast-growing woman-owned small business in the Washington DC area, specializing in Federal IT, Cybersecurity, and Mission Support Services. We are seeking an experienced Federal Sales Executive to lead growth strategy and customer acquisition. The role is hybrid - in-office presence required in Northern Virginia, with frequent travel to client locations. What You'll Do
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive growth across federal civilian and defense agencies, working closely with Company executives to identify core business strategies, capabilities, and growth opportunities
- Lead business development, capture, and proposal teams to expand IMS's government contract pipeline
- Leverage experience and network to drive agency relationships and brand awareness
- Oversee pursuit of IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, and task orders aligned to IMS's core capabilities
- Manage and coach sales / business development and proposal staff; set clear targets and KPIs
- Represent IMS at federal contracting conferences and industry events
- Track market trends, intel, and competitor activity to inform business growth
- Collaborate with executive leadership on pricing strategies, solutioning, and teaming
- Ensure sales activities adhere to compliance standards (FAR, SBA)
- Willingness and ability to travel to support customers and potential customers
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or related field (advanced degree preferred)10+ years of experience in federal sales / business development for a government contractorPrior federal government experience at GS-14 or higher (preferably in acquisition, program management, or IT leadership roles)U.S. citizen, eligible for government clearanceProven track record closing multi-million-dollar contracts with federal agenciesDeep knowledge of federal procurement, capture management, and proposal processesExecutive communication and networking skills; established C-level and SES relationshipsExperience in 8(a), WOSB, or set-aside environments is a strong plusWhat We Offer :
