PND Engineers is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Civil Design Engineer with at least 4 years of experience to join our Anchorage, Alaska, team working remotely from PND's Seattle office location. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy solving complex design challenges, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Youll work on a wide variety of rewarding projectsfrom general site development to highway, airport, solid waste landfill, waterfront development, and utility designsupporting both urban and remote Alaska communities. Our Anchorage team is known for tackling tough projects and delivering smart, cost-effective solutionsand were looking for a colleague who thrives in that kind of setting.

What Youll Do :

  • Design and develop civil engineering plans and construction documents for public and private infrastructure.
  • Support construction administration and inspection efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Occasionally travel within Alaska and the U.S. for site visits and progress inspections.

What Were Looking For :

  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Alaska P.E. license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; AutoCAD; Civil3D and / or MicroStation; and other relevant engineering software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and time management skills.
  • Experience and desire to mentor junior engineers and working in team environments.
  • Valid U.S. drivers license with a good driving record.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship.

    • Experience in construction, transportation, or water / wastewater utility design is a plus.
