The Hardware / Assembler will be responsible for the assembly of machined components and installations of hardware into aluminum chassis and cold plates for the Aerospace and Defense industries. This is a critical role within the Assembly team and requires a detailed mind set. This role reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Strive towards a culture of proactive safety.

100% inspects work pieces for cosmetic appearance and obvious non-conformities.

Installation of various components of hardware per specifications or direction from manager.

Follow Job Travelers for specific routing steps to be performed. Logging activity in ERP system for time and piece count tracking requirements.

Maintain traceability of parts and work orders as parts move through finishing.

Cleans work areas, or equipment, to maintain a clean and safe work area as required.

Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE :

High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED).

Autobody finishing experience is a plus.

Familiarity with using non-electric hand tools preferred.

Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Ability to read internal drawings and use basic measuring equipment.

Fine attention to detail.
