Now Hiring : AIX System Administrator (Contract Role)
Location : Brittmoore Rd, Houston, TX (1 day / week at ECDC Tomball Parkway)
Hybrid Schedule : 3 days onsite (mandatory), 2 days remote
Type : Contract
We're looking for an experienced AIX System Administrator to join our client team in Houston, TX! If you have a passion for Unix-based systems and enjoy working in a hybrid setup with cutting-edge IBM technologies, this role is for you.
Key Skills & Experience :
- 58 years of proven experience as an AIX System Administrator
- Strong knowledge of AIX , Linux , and Power HA
- Familiarity with ISD and Unix technology & storage systems
- Expertise with IBMs latest architectures ( Power9 / Power10 )
- Proficient in LPAR generation and reconfiguration
- Hands-on experience with AIX / Linux OS installation, configuration, and administration
- Deep understanding of VIO Servers , Shared Ethernet Adapter (SEA) , and redundant configurations
- Skilled in system troubleshooting, RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and performance tuning
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions
- Comfortable providing 24x7 support for midrange systems
