We are looking for a self-motivated team member to add as anindependent contractor to our company of highly motivated visionaries. This position is 100% remote. Residents in South Florida are preferred butnot required. Flexibility to live where you want to live!
We are a licensed landscape architecture firm in the Stateof Florida. We have extensive experience working with residential andcommercial clients, municipal staff, and developers. Our projects range fromsmall and high end residential to larger commercial and multifamily developments.
We have professional landscape architecture degrees fromaccredited universities. Paul Goulas graduated in 2002 from Louisiana StateUniversity. Brandon White graduated in 2012 from the University of Florida.Both of us have practiced in the state of Florida since graduation.
Compensation :
As an independent contractor you will receive :
- Expected Range
- 60,000 to $85,000
- An allowance for IRA contributions.
- An allowance for Health, Vision and Dental Insurance.
- Included in the compensation will be paid major holidays and (10) days of personal time.
- The position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
- Theactual salary offered for the role will be determined based on a varietyof factors including but not limited to; years of experience, location,level of job-related knowledge, and other job-related factors (aspermitted by law).
Skills Required : Qualifications :
An accredited professional degree in Landscape Architecture or related field of study or equivalent experience3+ years of design experience in landscape design.Intermediate knowledge of Auto CAD, Land F / X, Sketchup, Outlook, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and other software options prevalent in the landscape architecture industry. Knowledge of Lumion and Bluebeam preferred, but not required.Mathematical skills, planting design, knowledge of irrigation systems preferred but not required, basic knowledge of civil design, understanding of sustainable design, basics of codes.Strong written, verbal, visual and graphic communication skills.Knowledge of building codes and construction practices.Knowledge of project management and team collaboration skills.Expected Duties :
Compile and analyze data on conditions such as location, drainage, and location of structures for site analysis and landscaping plans.Confer with clients, engineering personnel, and architects on all projects stages from conceptual design to construction documents.Collaborate on design criteria with the design team or project manager and under their supervision, prepare and change drawings.Coordinate preliminary cost estimates, provide basic code research and develop preliminary budget and / or cost estimate for project.Plan layouts of projects and integrate engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval.Electronically draft plans, elevations, sections, and details under the direction of the Project Manager.Review project drawings and prepare feedback for project team.Collaborate with workers from multiple disciplines engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents.Prepare site plans, specifications, and cost estimates for land development, coordinating arrangement of existing and proposed land features and structures.Prepare scaled drawings and contract documents for building contractors.Carry out project coordination responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.Education Requirements :
