The Food Hall Supervisor plays a central role in upholding these standards, ensuring that guests experience a warm, organized, and impeccably clean atmosphere throughout their visit.
Position Overview
The Eastern Edge Crew Member plays a critical role in ensuring the food hall remains clean, welcoming, and guest-ready at all times. Crew Members support the overall guest experience through friendly, individualized service, table attending, cleaning, general upkeep, and assisting with food hall operations as needed.
Crew Members may support vendor partners when appropriate, answer guest questions, maintain cleanliness across all shared spaces, and uphold Eastern Edge and Ithaka Hospitality Partners standards of excellence. This position represents Eastern Edge Food Hall with professionalism, hospitality, and a guest-first mindset.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Guest Service
- Provide warm, friendly, and attentive service to all guests in the food hall.
- Assist guests with seating, directional questions, accessibility needs, and general inquiries.
- Offer proactive hospitality by anticipating guest needs.
- Address minor guest concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary.
Cleanliness & Table Attending
Maintain the cleanliness of all dining and common areas, including wiping tables, resetting seating, managing trash and recycling stations, and ensuring walkways remain clean and safe.Perform continuous walkthroughs to remove debris, trays, and clutter.Support dishwashing, bussing, and general cleaning duties as required.Follow all sanitation practices, standards, and regulations during cleaning and food hall operations.Operational Support
Maintain cleanliness of vendor-adjacent spaces, beverage stations, condiment areas, and general service zones.Replenish supplies such as napkins, flatware, cups, cleaning products, and guest-facing amenities.Provide lateral service to support operational needs, as directed by the Food Hall GM.Rotate products according to FIFO guidelines.Follow all health, state sanitation laws, and IHP standards.Clean, sanitize, and maintain all equipment in work areas.Immediately report any safety concerns or equipment issues to leadership.Supportive Functions
Crew Members may be asked to perform the following based on food hall needs :Assist with deep cleaning projects, special events, and setup tasks.Remove trash, replace liners, and manage recycling stations.Restock and rotate food hall supplies.Provide simple running or cleaning support to vendor teams (as approved by GM).Abilities

Guest Service Principles : Understanding of service quality, guest needs, and satisfaction.Food Production Basics : Familiarity with light food handling and presentation.Sanitation Standards : Knowledge of food safety, chemicals, and cleaning protocols.Basic Math & POS Competency : Ability to handle money and operate basic POS systems (as needed)Food Handling Certificate (or ability to obtain).Skills
